Shipping cost calculator on product pages

64% of users look for delivery costs on product pages before deciding to add an item to the cart.

For this majority of site visitors, having a complete idea of the full order cost influences their customer experience and the ability to make a purchase decision. Many won’t even wait until the checkout page and immediately ditch your site. Others might proceed further, but unexpected deliver fees may lead to an abandoned cart.

Magento 2 Shipping Calculator extension allows you to promptly add this functionality to your site and let shoppers calculate shipping rates before moving to the checkout stage.

With the shipping estimate calculator, you can:

Add mobile-friendly calculator to product pages
Hide/display the calculator block on specific product pages or categories
Highlight the cheapest option the shipping rate estimator offers
Add title and description for the Calculator extension

Configurable fields

The extension Calculator allows you to configure the fields your customers can choose to estimate their delivery options.

With this Magento 2 calculate shipping cost on product page module, you can choose to hide and/or show the following fields:

Country
State/region
Postal code/zip code

Such flexibility helps cater to a variety of scenarios, such as displaying the zip code field only if you do not deliver goods outside your country. Conversely, if delivering worldwide, displaying all the fields will help customers calculate shipping more precisely.

Any of the set fields in the Calculator extension can be made either required or optional to specify for the shopper.

Importantly, if your customers enter an area you do not ship to, the extension will display a custom message and notify them about the unavailability of delivery options.

Default shipping locations

The Magento Shipping Cost Calculator extension offers the functionality to set default values for the necessary fields to pre-select them for your customers on the front-end. It will save customers’ time and relieve them from the necessity of filling in the fields manually.

With the Delivery Cost Calculator, you can also use the default values if you have a local store and ship within one region/country only. In this case, your customers won’t need to choose a country and/or region but specify their delivery zip code only to calculate all the delivery options.

Hyvä Themes compatibility

The extension is compatible with the Hyvä theme. See our user guide for more details.
